One of the most popular licenses at Richard Leeds International is the Star Wars collection.
Our digital marketing strategy here was to create original imagery and content for our owned channels as well as provide our licensing partners with content to publish to promote our product.
For Star Wars Day, (May 4th) the team at Lucasfilm asked me to create an influencer campaign to promote their charity. I created a video with Richard Leeds employees wore Richard Leeds product in the video. We also invited a few or our favorite influencers to participate. The video was shared across our owned channels as well as from the influencers inviting customers to #RoarforChange.
We also researched and seeded product to celebrities who were known to be fans of Star Wars to get them to participate in sharing their love of Star Wars sleepwear.
The collective efforts of celebrity coverage and May 4th content resulted in a 518% increase of traffic to the retailer purchase links from our owned channels.
Follower count for Instagram increased by 18% during this campaign.
